Aircraft design by Sönke Dierks

Aircraft to suit the most diverse missions

MA THOR SolarLight UAS

The lightweight, solar-powered MA THOR SolarLight can loiter above regions under surveillance for several days. The platform uses solar panels on the wings which provide the aircraft with extreme endurance without the need for refuelling. The SolarLight is an ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre aircraft with a wingspan of 10 m but weighing just 70 kg.

MA THOR Intel UAS

An efficient aerodynamic design gives best in class performance. Optimized for endurance, the MA THOR Intel with 17 liters of fuel volume and a fuel injected engine will provide 7 hrs endurance. The optimised high-lift flap system yields stall speeds of 50 km/h. Excellent flight and handling qualities due to a well-designed V-tail and elerudder geometry.

MA THOR Asgard UAS

The MA THOR Asgard UAS is an ideal cost-effective solution for any type of persistent ISR, area dominance, ground support, and maritime patrol mission. Designed for minimal maintenance, the MA THOR Asgard UAS is a highly mission effective system and a system with low life cycle costs. Developed to the highest standards of safety and airworthiness.

State-of-the-Art Payload

The MA THOR system provides versatile multi-payload configurations utilizing cutting edge sensors and systems with modular installation to accomplish a wide variety of missions.  The advanced modular system architecture separates safety critical flight systems from mission systems providing great flexibility and optimization in integration of new and indigenous payloads.
